Peter T Paul College
Donor Spotlight
Paul College continues to flourish due in large part to the generosity of alumni and supporters. Thank you to all who provide strategic support for Paul College through their philanthropy.
Peter T. Paul ’67 made a transformative gift to Peter T. Paul College which enabled us to jump-start the new Business Analytics initiative aimed at providing New Hampshire and regional businesses with the critical help they need to sustain a competitive advantage. The new Initiative will enable us to drive enrollments and expand our course offerings, research, industry engagement, and career opportunities for our students.

David Greenlaw ’80, a UNH Foundation Board emeritus member, made a gift of $2.5 million to fully endow the Dwayne Wrightsman Professor of Finance, a position he first established in 2005 to further develop scholarship in the fields of macroeconomics and finance.

The Holloway Competition, which was founded in 1988 by Paul and Anna Grace Holloway, has encouraged entrepreneurial passion and innovation amongst the students at University of New Hampshire for generations. Paul and Anna Grace committed to endowing this long standing and popular competition. Their generosity will ensure the tradition of innovation will live on indefinitely within Paul College.

Michael Runser ’83 made an additional gift to provide increased funding towards the Bernard Runser ’63 Paul College Scholarship of Excellence Fund. Michael created this scholarship fund, which supports top tier students admitted into Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, in honor his late father and WSBE alumnus Bernard Runser ’63.

New Hampshire Association of Realtors (NHAR), funded a scholarship to support N.H students enrolled at Paul College in memory of the late Paul Griffin, former CEO of NHAR. This scholarship will pay tribute to Paul’s legacy, his long-standing working relationship with Peter T. Paul College and his dedication to the state of N.H.

(603) Challenge Raises $200,000

Paul College had an incredibly successful (603) Challenge, raising just under $200,000 in total dollars, supporting 24 fund designations across Paul. University wide the Challenge was a huge success, raising over $2.6M from 11,300 donors across UNH!

The challenge ended with Paul College reaching 617 online donors, surpassing our goal of 600. This achievement unlocked $65,000 in funding for the Internship Opportunity Fund. In addition, Paul College launched three new area challenges this year for Business in Practice (BiP), Graduate Programs and the NH Small Business Development Center. Together, these areas unlocked a combined total of $33,000 in additional underwriter funds, with BiP taking third place on the leaderboard for University Programs. Congratulations to all three programs for incredible success in each of your area challenges!

These staggering results reflect a 24% increase in donors and a 20% increase in dollars raised for Paul College programs putting Paul College in third place on the Colleges and Schools leaderboard. We could not have accomplished these results without the support and generosity from our underwriters, alumni, friends, parents, faculty, staff, and students, many of which secured matching and bonus funds throughout the challenge. Thank you for the amazing efforts to support our students. This year, #PaulPride was stronger than ever.
